World Leaders React to Trump’s Poll Surge

Following a tight race, former President Donald Trump declared victory in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, claiming an extraordinary political comeback. Shortly after his victory speech in Florida, congratulatory messages poured in from world leaders expressing optimism for future collaboration and bilateral partnerships. Trump, who previously served as the 45th president, is poised to re-enter the White House as the 47th president after a projected win against Democrat Kamala Harris.

Support and Optimism from World Leaders

India

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Trump, referring to him as “my friend” and highlighting their shared commitment to strengthening the India-U.S. Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Modi expressed eagerness to renew collaboration for the betterment of both nations and to promote global peace, stability, and prosperity.

Israel

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was among the first to congratulate Trump, celebrating what he called “history’s greatest comeback.” In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Netanyahu addressed both Donald and Melania Trump, expressing optimism for the “new beginning for America” and renewed focus on the Israel-U.S. alliance.
