Star Wars Andor release date is currently set for September 21, 2022. The series have a strong chance of success, much like The Mandalorian did.

Before The Mandalorian (which is in its third season), Cassian Andor was the main character in one of the best Star Wars spin-offs, so it was reasonable to assume that after Disney took control of the George Lucas-created world, they would want to continue exploring that tale.

Diego Luna was one of the rebel pilots in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story who carried out the scheme to steal the Death Star schematics, aiding Luke Skywalker and the rebellion in destroying the formidable spacecraft. The Empire intended to use this weapon to wipe out any planets that dared to stand up to them.

The majority of the troops who were involved in the plot were killed at the end of the movie, but Disney saw a lot of potential in Cassian Andor, and they quickly chose to bring Diego Luna back to complete the character’s journey. There is no exact date either, but according to rumors we could see the Andor series in the first half of 2022 (possibly after The Book of Boba Fett and the Ahsoka Tano spin off ) and that it could have 12 episodes. It’s unclear if the miniseries will end with Andor joining the rebels and coming into contact with Jyn Erso.

Is Andor season 2 in production?

Star Wars Andor has a certain future because the second season of the program has already been announced. There will be two 12-episode seasons of this two-part series.
