ColorOS 12 on Oppo smartphones; How to download

The latest version of the ColorOS platform was launched worldwide on October 11 and is now available for download on all existing devices. This new platform comes with a plethora of new AOD features, privacy, new designs, and an all-new icon pack. Oppo shared the roadmap of the ColorOS 12 platform for India and China at the launch event. The ColorOS 12 platform is currently available for download on Oppo Find X3 Pro smartphones and the company will soon be rolling out updates for all other existing smartphones.

Oppo ColorOS 12 platform: update

Oppo has rolled out the ColorOS 12 beta program that allows you to experience new features of the ColorOS 12 platform. There may be bugs and some apps may not work properly as this is an early software and the original ColorOS 12 will be rolled out after some time. So it is recommended that you do not install the ColorOS 12 beta on your main device.

Steps to download the ColorOS 12 update:

1. Your device must be 60 percent or more charged
2. You now need to update your device to the required UI version
3. Request early access through the Software Update Application channel
4. Go to settings and select software update
5. Select the settings icon located in the top right corner
6. Select the trial version and click apply now
7. Now you can submit your details and complete the process

Steps to install the ColorOS12 update:

Once you have submitted all the required information, you will receive the update; however you need to hurry as there are limited slots available.

1. Go to the settings and select the option software updates
2. If the update is available, click download
3. Click install when the download is complete and wait for some time
4. The smartphone will reboot automatically and the process is complete
