Don’t wait for the Windows 11 download: how to get the update from Microsoft now
Windows 11 began the broad rollout last week, with Microsoft launching its new operating system and starting the rollout to eligible devices on 5th of October. The upgrade is free for everyone already with Windows 10. The update marks the first major change to Microsoft’s operating system since Windows 10 launched in 2015. Rumors of a major Windows redesign circulated over the past year. At the Microsoft Build developer conference on May 25, CEO Satya Nadella said: Microsoft planned to be “one of the most significant updates to Windows of the past decade,” confirming that 2021 is a major change for the operating system’s 1.3 billion users.
