The iconic slasher franchise Scream is set to finally return on January 14 with, well, Scream – a direct sequel to the events of Scream 4 that will also serve as a jumping-off point for newcomers to the series that lays the foundation for its future . (Yes, even though it’s the fifth film in the series, it is simply being called Scream.)

While Scream 5 will see the return of Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette, it will also be the first film not directed by the late Wes Craven.
