Electronic Arts have finally unveiled the much-awaited FIFA 22 TOTY. In every FIFA game for their online Ultimate Team mode, EA releases a special pack comprising of 11 players who were phenomenal in real life in 2021. These Team of the Year cards are not only special but also great additions to a gamer’s squad in the Ultimate Team. So, let’s take a look at the 11 players who made it into the FIFA 22 TOTY cards.

FIFA 22 is the successor to the FIFA 21 and the latest installment in Electronic Arts’ infamous video game series, FIFA. Undoubtedly, the FIFA series is the most successful video game by the American video game company EA. FIFA 22 was released on October 1, 2021, and it’s been only a few months since the release and has already become one of the best sports video games. It is playable as both single player and multiplayer. In FIFA 22, fans can play with their favorite teams and take on other clubs present in the game. Further, they can also experience a 25-seasons-long career mode as a manager or footballer. The FIFA 22 Player Cards are usually divided into three prime categories: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The Gold Cards are usually players with ratings above 76. Whereas the Silver Cards range between 65 to 75 and below this range are the Bronze Cards. Aside from these primary three categories, EA also releases some special variant cards.

EA releases a set of 12 special cards each year for their football video games. EA releases a list of nominees who were having a phenomenal performance in that season. But the fans vote and the players with the majority of votes get selected in this Ultimate XI. The footballers featuring on these cards have boosted stats than their original ones. Fans can get their hands on these unique cards by opening FUT Packs. However, getting one TOTY card from a pack is really rare. Therefore, fans will also need a touch of luck while opening a FUT Pack to get a TOTY card. But fans can also visit the Transfer Market in the game to buy the Team of The Year card. As other FUT players might have put up their FIFA 22 TOTY cards for sale. But these unique FIFA 22 are pretty expensive.

Gianluigi Donnaruma

Later in 2021, he also helped his national side to life the Euro 2020 and this is one of the facts which might have got him the votes to get a place on this TOTY. Donnaruma is already one of the best goalkeepers in FIFA 22 with an 89-rated rare Gold Card but after getting a place on TOTY, he got himself a 96-rated GK card. Literally, he’s now like a tall wall in front of the goal.
