With update 2.5 of Genshin Impact out, the data miners have already started content digging for the next Update 2.6. Many prominent leakers have put out many new things from the upcoming update. What can we expect from Genshin Impact update 2.6? Who will be the new banner character in 2.6, and what will be the new event? Genshin Impact 2.5 update brought Yae Miko as the new banner character, whose first appearance was back in update 2.1.

The weekly boss introduced for update 2.5 is the Electro Archon of Inazuma Raiden Shogun. Genshin Impact is an action-adventure gacha video game from miHoYo that was released in 2020. The game takes place in a fictional magical world called Teyvat that has seven nations with their own elements. Genshin Impact released on all PlayStation 4, Microsoft Windows, Android, iOS, and with a planned release date for Nintendo Switch at a later date. Genshin Impact gives the player the role of a traveler who gets separated from their sibling. The traveler goes on the quest to search for their sibling but gets intertwined in seven nations’ affairs.

Genshin Impact Update 2.6 has pretty big expectations to live up to or even cross it. The last update, Update 2.5, brought many things such as Raiden shogun, quality of life updates, new interesting enemies, weekly bosses, etc.

New Banner Character

Which new character will feature in the latest update? One of the most prominent leakers in Genshin Impact community, Ubatcha, leaked that the upcoming banner character in the latest update is Kamisato Ayato†

Kamisato Ayato is the Kamisato clan’s head as well as the leader of the Yashiro Commission. He is the brother of Kamisato Ayaka. According to the official introduction, Ayato has a resourceful and cunning personality. He will share benefits with everyone, as they deserve. He is also not a show-off and does not like public appearances.

The initial reaction from the fans was very positive, so it was only obvious for the developer, miHoYo, to make him a playable character.

Kamisato Ayato: Abilites

Kamisato Ayato will be a hydro-based character with a five-star rarity. The leak also brought some of the abilities of Ayato.

• Normal Attacks – Five Rapid Strikes.
• Charged Attacks – Upon consuming a portion of his stamina, Ayato will dash and use an Iai Slash.

Elemental Skill – Kamisato Art – Kyouka.

In his elemental skill, Ayato will leave a watery illusion at his original location. Ayato’s watery illusion will taunt the enemies nearby and explode after some time or when attacked. Ayato will go into Soukai Kanka state. Soukai Kankai mode will have Ayato attacking the enemies at blindingly fast attacks.

Elemental Burst – Kamisato Art – Suiyuu

In Ayato’s elemental burst, a space of Garden will be created. Within this Garden, Bloomwater Blades will rain down constantly on enemies dealing hydro damage. The allies’ attack speed will increase in the Garden space.

The Chasm

In update 2.5’s Livestream, there was a confirmation regarding The Chasm coming in update 2.6. The Chasm location is in the west of Lisha, which is a rich source of ore. Due to mysterious incidents and accidents, miners abandoned it.

The Livestream of update 2.5 unveiled that The Chasm formed when celestial bodies crashed into the earth, becoming a mine in the process. The Chasm has a lot of mysterious ores and stones.
