Here’s how to download Spotify songs on your Apple Watch

Spotify has announced the ability to download music directly to your Apple Watch, so you can listen to it whenever and wherever you want

Spotify has announced a new feature for the Apple Watch users that now allows people to save offline music from Spotify to their watch, including playlists, albums and podcasts. However, this download functionality is only available to premium users.

“All users can already play tracks, albums, playlists and podcasts, and Premium users can now also download everything they listen to for a truly offline and phone-free experience. This is in addition to all other Spotify features on Apple Watch – from Connect & Control to streaming to Siri, “Spotify said in a blog post.

Here’s how to download your favorite music and podcasts on your Apple Watch:

1. Find the music and podcasts you want to download on your watch.
2. Select the playlist, album, or podcast, tap the ellipsis (…), then choose Download to Apple Watch.
3. To check the progress of your download, go to the Downloads section on the watch.
4. Once playlists, albums or podcasts have been downloaded to your library, you will see a small green arrow next to their names.
5. Now you can listen to your favorite songs anywhere by plugging in your headphones.

The feature requires Apple Watch Series 3 or later, with watchOS 6.0+ (7.1+ recommended) with a cellular connection or Wi-Fi to work.

You can also ask Siri to play your favorite song for you by just saying “Hey Siri” followed by your command to play your favorite songs, artists, albums, playlists and podcasts. You can also ‘like’ music, ask what is currently playing and manage your media settings such as volume, skip track, play and pause.
