How To Download Digital Voter ID Card: A voter card is not only used to vote, but also serves as an important identity card for proof of address.

Recently, the Election Commission of India has launched ‘e-EPIC’ (Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card), which is a non-editable and secured PDF version of the Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) and equally valid.

Here’s how to download the digital voter ID card.

How do I download a digital voter pass?

1- Visit https://www.nvsp.in/ and click on ‘Download e-EPIC Card’.

2- Login/Register as a new user.

3- Click on ‘e-EPIC Download’.

4- Enter the EPIC number or the form reference number.

5- Check the OTP sent on the registered mobile number.

6- Click Download e-EPIC.

If the mobile number is not registered in Eroll, follow these steps:

7- click on e-KYC to complete the KYC.

8- Pass the Face Liveness Verification

9- Update your mobile number to KYC . to complete

10- Download e-EPIC.

It should be noted that currently the e-EPIC download facility is available to voters registered after November 2020 who have a unique mobile number in the NSVP records. For others, this facility will be available soon.

What is e-EPIC?

Electronic Electoral Photo Identity Card or e-EPIC is a secure, portable document format (PDF) version of the EPIC that can be downloaded on mobile or in a self-printable form on the computer. Voters can save e-EPIC on their smartphone, upload it as a PDF on Digilocker or print and self-laminate. This is in addition to the PCV EPIC currently being released.

e-EPIC: Who is Eligible?

1- All general voters who have valid EPIC numbers.

2- All new voters registered during the 2021 special summary revision (i.e. those who applied during Nov-December 2020) and whose mobile number provided when applying is unique will receive an SMS and can download e-EPIC between January 25 and January 31, 2021.

3- Other voters can download e-EPIC from February 1, 2021.

Benefits of e-EPIC

On National Voters Day, the Election Commission launched the e-EPIC facility. Voters don’t have to apply for a new card every time they change city or state. They can easily download the new version of the map by changing the address.

e-EPIC: Important Points to Note

1- Instead of an EPIC number, a reference number can also be used to download e-EPIC.

2- e-EPIC is downloaded in portable document format (PDF).

3- The file size of e-EPIC is 250 KB.

4- Voters can download and print e-EPIC to present as proof of identity at the polling station.

5- If e-KYC fails, please visit the ERO office along with photo ID and update your mobile number.

6- Each member can do eKYC against a single mobile number and after e-KYC e-EPIC can be downloaded.
