Apple helps users find their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple Watch with the Find My feature. However, users can also find their Apple devices using the built-in voice assistant – Siri. However, the lost device must be connected to the Internet for Siri to locate the device immediately. Otherwise, the lost device will not receive the notification until it is reconnected to the Internet.
Apple has shared a handy guide on the support page that helps users find their lost iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Apple Watch devices. It’s also worth noting that finding a device with Siri requires users to link their devices to their iCloud accounts for the functionality to work seamlessly.

Finding a lost device with Siri is quite easy, but users should note that they can only be found immediately if the lost device is connected to the internet via Wi-Fi or mobile data. The following guide is for devices with iOS 14.

Summon Siri with the voice command “Hey Siri” or by pressing the Home button, Side button, or the Top button.

Ask Find My ‘X’ (replace the ‘X’ with the name of the lost device, such as iPhone or Apple Watch).

Siri then shows the location of the paired devices on the map in the Find My app.

In addition, Siri will also play a beep sound on the lost device to make it easier to find.
If the lost device is offline, Siri will still send a command and the notification will be sent to that device when it comes back online. However, it is recommended that users register an FIR on the lost device with the nearest police station if they believe their devices are lost and cannot be easily found.
