League of Legends Season 12: Release Date, Characters and Features

The new year has arrived and with the new year comes the new season for League of Legends. When will season 12 come out? What will it bring to the players? League of Legends Update 12.1

On January 4, 2022, League of Legends dropped its first major update. The patch of the update has some changes for the game such as character improvements and nerfs, item balances and some new skins.

Character changes

The champions who received buffs are Diana and Gangway. The champions who have received nerfs are Rek’sai and to the end.

Diana changes are:

Passive – Moonsilver Blade

• AP ratio – 40% -> 50%
• Monster Damage Ratio – 250% -> 300%

Gangway changes are:

Q – Parrrley

• Mana costs – 60/55/50/45/40 -> 55/50/45/40/35
• Cool down – 5 seconds -> 4.5 seconds

Rek’sai changes are:

E – Furious Bite

• Physical damage – 50/60/70/80/90 (+85% bonus AD) -> 55/60/65/70/75 (+85% bonus AD)

E – Tunnel

• Cooldown – 26/23/20/17/14 seconds -> 26/24/22/20/18 seconds.

Sona changes are:

Basic Statistics

• Armor Growth – 3.3 -> 3

E – Song of Celerity

• Cool down – 12 -> 14 seconds

Article changes

• Ever Rising Moon Cooldown (melee) – 6 seconds -> 8 seconds

Power of nature

• Absorb pile – 5 seconds -> 7 seconds
• Magic damage reduction – 20% -> 25%

Immortal Shield Bow

• Attack damage – 55 -> 50
• Lifeline Shield – 300 – 800 (level based) -> 275 – 650 (level based)

White’s End

• Magic resistance – 50 -> 40
• Construction Path – Negatron Cloak
• + Hearthbound Ax + Long Sword + 750 Gold -> Null Magic Mantle + Hearthbound Ax + Pickaxe + 675 Gold

Cooldown – 420-210 seconds (based on level) -> 360 seconds on all levels

Riot Games added a new feature in the Teleport spell called Unleashed Teleport. The teleport spell will turn into Unleashed Teleport which can target allied towers, minions, divisions, and certain allied structures 14 minutes after the tower plating has fallen.

Many Bugfix and QoL changes are with the new update 12.1.

There are two new skins in this patch.

1. Elderwood Gnar for Gnar along with chromas
2. Elderwood Rek’Sai for Rek’Sai along with chromas.
