Step 1: Prepare a half full bowl of water that is slightly warmer than room temperature.

Step 2: Bring out your inner artist and splash in any color you want! Be careful if you drop the nail polish into the water. If it falls from a distance, it sinks to the bottom.

Step 3: Use a toothpick to create a marbled effect on the surface with the nail polish drops. Take less than a minute to perform this step as the nail polish can dry out.

Step 4: Keep your glass container or votive aside, submerge it gently and roll it over the surface of the water.

Step 5: The nail polish will start to pull off the water and stick to the surface of the container. Finish by covering the entire surface and even the bottom if you like.

Step 6: Hold the container upside down and let the nail polish cure. Although the paint dries quickly, give it at least an hour before touching it. You can use nail polish remover to remove unwanted smudges. You can also spray it with a clear sealant to protect the marbling.
