Prediction of the 2021 Cup Series title winner

It’s no surprise that Martin Truex Jr. advanced to Championship 4, despite winning one play-off race in September and his other three wins this season all before June. Truex has been one of the most consistent drivers this season and there are some notable things about his four wins, which put him in second place this year.

First, Truex won the spring race at Phoenix after completing 64 of the 312 laps, and while it was his first at the one-mile track, it shows that he and the No. capture the flag. In addition, his team chief said the team will race with the same chassis as earlier this season.

It’s also worth noting that all four of Truex’s checkered flags — he won at Martinsville Speedway, Darlington Raceway and Richmond Raceway — had the same 750 horsepower package that will be used Sunday. And while Truex’s career stats on the track are nothing special, he’s up at Phoenix with four of his top-5 spots in the past five seasons.

He won in Phoenix in March after a late restart, and I say he will do it again to win his second championship.
