PS Now’s GTA 3 now available to download and stream

Update #2: Sony has fixed an issue with GTA 3 on PS Now that prevented users from downloading the game. It is now available worldwide to stream and download. This is not the first time this error has occurred and has led to confusion and unnecessary frustration among subscribers.

Update #1: GTA 3 is now available as part of PS now in the US, where it can be downloaded and streamed. There have been no changes so far in Europe where it is still only available for streaming. Presumably this is just a bug that will be fixed soon.

Original story: After the disappointment about the disappearance of Mortal Shell free PS4 to PS5 upgrade On PS More, there’s more bad news for Sony subscribers: GTA 3, now available on PS now, can only be streamed. This problem first arose on reddit but we were able to confirm – there is no option to download the game, as is usually the case. It’s also worth noting that this is the PS4 version of the remaster that you can stream, not the PS5 version.

There’s precedent for the Japanese giant pushing the wrong buttons when it rolls out PS Now updates, so it’s possible the download option might magically appear in the coming days. After all, there’s nothing on the PS blog that this game is only available for streaming. We have of course checked with Sony whether this is a bug or not and will update accordingly once we get clarification from the company.

Anyway, it hasn’t been a good week for key members of the company, especially if you also consider the situation surrounding Godfall. if this is real is a bug, let’s hope the platform holder fixes it soon: GTA 3 is only available on PS Now until February 1, 2022. You’re on the clock, readers.
