Despite the release of Antim – The Final Truth, Satyameva Jayate and Tadap, Sooryavanshi is not giving up easily. It keeps battling it out at the box office and makes it feel its presence. This was reflected in the constant increase in collections from Friday (36 lakhs) until Saturday (66 lakh) followed by sunday (85 lakhs*) when another peak was detected.
There has been a daily increase in visitor numbers for Sooryavanshi who now plays on very limited screens and is also available on OTT. That said, the film now mainly gathers in the class centers and both while Antim – The Final Truth mainly focuses on the single screens, Tadap has an audience on both multiplexes and single screens.
Until now, Sooryavanshi has collected $193.23 million* and would be closer to the 195 crores mark by the time it ends its fifth week. How much father will do it from this point on? Well, it would be a slow walk from there as at least one major movie is now set to hit theaters every Friday, starting with Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui on the upcoming Friday. Then there’s Pushpa, Spider-Man – No Way Home, ’83, The Matrix Resurrections and Jersey, and each of these films will further shrink the screens for the Rohit Shetty-directed action entertainer.
