While the Bears will try to save their season and make a run on a Wild Card berth, the main goal of their 2021 campaign is to ensure the growth of starting quarterback Justin Fields. After a bumpy start, Fields starts to show promise.

On the other hand, the 2021 Lions were a total disappointment. This may not be the popular opinion, but it’s not all Goff’s fault. He doesn’t have much to work with and the Lions have been rebuilding for decades.

The Bears made it to the end zone twice against a strong Ravens defense, but both touchdowns were the result of big pieces. The rest of the game was bland for Chicago’s attack, who seems to be struggling to find a true identity. Allen Robinson was out after a hamstring injury in Week 10.

That means the Lions will have to rely heavily on TJ Hockenson’s run game and tight end to get the job done on Thanksgiving. D’Andre Swift is the most effective talent on the roster, and with Bears edge rusher Khalil Mack now out for the season, there’s a chance the young Lions in decline will have a big afternoon on Thursday.

The problem here is we don’t know if it will be Fields or Andy Dalton below center so we’ll have to follow Matt Nagy’s press conferences over the course of the week. The Lions, meanwhile, are a staggering 7-1 to the bottom in their last eight games.

The Bears have only cashed more than three times this season. However, they are 2-1 in hitting the over in the last three weeks. However, if Robinson doesn’t go and the short week plays a part, Thursday’s opening game could be a little slow.
