Sushant Singh Rajput’s father files FIR against Rhea Chakraborty in Patna for Abetment of Suicide
Sushant passed away on June 14 and till now close to 40 people have been interrogated as part of the ongoing investigation. Another twist in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case where Sushant’s father has filed a complaint against actress Rhea Chakraborty. This is the first time the family has gone public with their accusations.
Rhea Chakraborty was a close friend of Sushant and she has been charged for abetment of suicide.
The case has been registered at Patna police station in Bihar as the actor’s family hails from Bihar.
An investigation for the case is going on in Mumbai. As per Mumbai police’s statements, there is no foul play in the case or abetment. Rhea Chakraborty’s statement has been recorded by the Mumbai police along with many people.
Sushant Singh Rajput made his Bollywood debut in 2013 with the movie – “Kai Po Che”. He was appreciated for his performance in the 2015 movie “Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!”, “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, “Sonchiriya” and “Chhichhore”.His last movie “Dil Bechara” released on Disney Hotstar on 24 July.
The case has been lodged under various sections of IPC including 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 306 (abetment of suicide).
It has also been revealed that a four-member team from Patna has been sent to Mumbai to collect important documents related to the case from the Mumbai police. ANI stated, “A four-member team has been sent to Mumbai.
The team will collect case diary and other important documents from Mumbai Police: Sanjay Singh, Inspector General, Patna Central Zone”.
The actor’s death has also made waves in political circles with Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan writing to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, saying “On behalf of every Bihari, I urge you to conduct a fair inquiry into the matter so that no talented person is victimized in future due to factionalism and nepotism in Bollywood.”
On Monday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar’s son Parth Pawar also wrote to the state Home Minister, demanding a CBI probe.
