This is how you prepare your wardrobe for spring

When the seasons change, clean your wardrobe with a good brushing and create a fresh environment for spring outfits.

Digging spring/summer gear from the loft or storage brings joy to my heart – the promise of longer days, more light and glorious sunshine (ahem, fingers crossed, this is Blighty after all!).

One of the most important things to do before throwing everything back in is: prepare your wardrobe properly. Dust every nook and cranny, vacuum and scrub as needed. This is a great opportunity to refresh the inside of your closet while it’s empty.

Sparkling fresh drawers, rails and shelves are also a brilliant platform for changing the way you store your clothes, shoes and accessories.

When it comes to prepping your wardrobe and stocking it up with your warmer weather favorites, make sure they’re still you. Do these clothes still fit with who you are now and with your life?

If there are items you just haven’t worn, get them out of your closet and talk honestly to yourself about why. You may have to get a little more creative by trying it out with other pieces. But if the item no longer brings you joy, then that’s okay, it served you well and it’s time to say au revoir.
