Fortnite Season 1 & 2 and further developments

Turning our attention to season 1, right now it does not look like our friends at Epic studio have any finale planned for season 1. So it might be a bit quiet when moving to season 2. But the expected tweaks and new upgrades which are rumored for season 2 (based on early testing and all) are too big to be not excited for. So let us discuss what we know about the upcoming season 2, as of now.

Season 2 – What to expect from it?

So for starters, the rocket event from season 1 will be continued. And the war between the Sevens and the Imagined order will only heat up in the upcoming season.

Yup! You can be Spiderman in Fortnite.

Now talking about the upgrades, there is a lot to get excited for. The players are going to be blessed with the integration of thermal weapons in the form of Mythic Thermal AR. Also, there are a lot of tactical warfares to be introduced in season 2 with tactical sprinting, tactical overshield upgrade, and tank vehicles also making inroads (pun intended!)

Also as hinted by early beta testers, it seems that season 2 will also have some sort of dark tower to add to the already wide map. And while we are on this subject, there are all sorts of upgrades on the map for season 2. Of course, fans would need more room to drive the new tanks and new drivable vehicles.

With a new starter pack, there are special themes too which are expected to be seen in the next season. The prominent special mode themes would be either Star Wars based or Assassins Creed based. Keep in mind that these are just mere speculations until and unless official announcements regarding the same are made. But till then, we have enough to ponder about and get excited about. For now, let us wait for March 20.

Fortnite – Why it’s so popular?

Fortnite, unlike older versions of video games, has risen the ranks of popularity with such an effect that as of today, the game is one of the few cross-platform games; from mobile phones in our hands to the consoles attached to our screens. The reception of Fortnite has given other gaming studios an incentive to release their games as cross-platform games. Something that they never did in the past.

There is a common consensus about the reasons why Fortnite has become so popular, to the extent that a clip from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker was released within the game and Marshmello hosted a live concert inside the game that was attended by 10 million people in-game and watched by 45 million people worldwide on YouTube.

The game’s flexibility and the liberty provided to the players is the primary reason why it has generated such cut-throat popularity in the digital space. Each time you log in to play the game, there is a new way to play the game. And to include the free-of-cost (apart from limited upgrades and collectibles) updates and upgrades for the players is a positive gesture. The money game does not work in this game.

The game, with the liberty and flexibility, has created a space where pop culture and digital culture intersects.
