When will the World Series start in 2021? Game 1 date, TV schedule for Braves vs. Astros
The World Series matchup is officially set.
The Braves held off the Dodgers after taking a 3-1 lead in the series, closing Game 6 to win the series 4-2. The Astros came back from trailing 2-1 against the Red Sox by winning three consecutive games to close out the ALCS and head into their third World Series in five years.
The World Series was set to begin on Tuesday, October 26, regardless of the outcome of the ALCS and NLCS, but neither series lasting the full seven games means every team should head into the fall classic a little better rested. The Braves will have two full days off, while Houston will have three days off.

When does the World Series start?
- Game 1: tuesday 26 october
- Game 2: Wednesday 27 October
- Game 3: Friday 29 Oct.
- Game 4: Saturday 30 Oct.
- Game 5: sunday 31 oct
- Game 6: tuesday 1 nov
- Game 7: wednesday 3 nov
The World Series begins on Tuesday, October 26 with the Astros hosting the Braves. Since Houston had the better record, it will host Games 1 and 2, as well as 6 and 7 if needed. The Braves will host the Games 4, 5 and 6 in Atlanta.
Each game kicks off around 8:10 PM ET, with Fox handling the broadcast for each game.
