Outgoing Broncos playmaker Anthony Milford has been arrested after an alleged assault on Sunday night.

Queensland Police confirmed Monday morning that a 27-year-old had been arrested and charged with three assaults and one of intentional harm following an incident in Fortitude Valley.

“Police were called to Marshall Street in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley shortly before 2 a.m. following reports of a disturbance,” a police spokesman said.

“A 27-year-old man from Forest Lake was arrested nearby and charged with three counts of assault with bodily harm and one count of willful damage.

“He was granted police bail to appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on October 20.”

The Broncos have also released a statement disclaiming the case.

“Anthony Milford has completed his contractual duties with the Brisbane Broncos,” a club statement read.

He is on leave and will start a new NRL contract elsewhere at the start of the 2022 preseason.

“As the case is now in court, the Broncos will not comment further.”
