Every game franchise has a starting, and the Far Cry franchise obviously started with Far Cry 1. What is its plot? What happens in the ending of Far Cry 1? Crytek developed the first game and released it in 2004 on Microsoft Windows and in 2014 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game deals with Jack Carver, who gets stuck on an uncharted island where there are mercenaries groups and some mysterious hostile figure running ramparts. As the game progress, he learns of experiments happening, where he must fight and stop the mad scientist from doing the experiments. The game is made on the CryEngine by Crytek. Far Cry, at its release, was a huge success for the developers. The main praise for Far Cry was the freedom of exploration, visuals, and gameplay. The game was also a commercial success selling over two million units.
Far Cry 1 Plot
The game starts with protagonist Jack Carver, an ex-US Army Special Forces soldier, running boat-charter services in the South Pacific. A woman named Valerie Constantine hires Jack for his boat services to secretly take her to an uncharted island in Micronesia. After reaching there, Constantine takes a jet ski and goes somewhere on her own Jack’s boat gets attacked and blasted by some mercenaries.
Jack then gets help from a mysterious man named Doyle and with, Doyle starts searching for Constantine. After fighting several mercenaries, they both encounter some mysterious figures, who go by the name of Trigens. They are genetically altered beasts. He also learns that the uncharted island is an experiment island. The company Krieger Corp. funds the island for the experiments, and it is none other than the CEO Dr. Krieger who runs it.
Jack Finds Valerie
Jack and Doyle learn that the Trigens have become a problem for the mercenaries. Through these, as the story progresses, they learn that the experiments have now also moved to the humans. Jack finally finds Constantine but sees that she is taken somewhere else by a helicopter. Jack prevents that and meets Constantine, where she reveals about being a CIA undercover agent. She tells Jack that she has come here to learn and stop Krieger’s experiments.
After splitting up, Jack finds and kills the mercenary leader Crowe. From Crowe, Jack learns that Dr. Keiger has a tactical nuke hidden on the island. The nuke is the last resort for Keiger if things do not work his way and to cover all his tracks of experiments. Department of Defense asks Jack and Valerie to steal the nuke and detonates inside a factory lab, where all the Trigens are produced. Before they go for the task, Doyle informs them that mutagen might infect them and asks them to inject with an antidote serum. Jack and Constantine do so and arm the nuke. The nuke detonates behind them, knocking them unconscious in the process.
