Brown Rice Powder: ¼ cup
Water: 1 cup
A little bottle feeding/breast milk
Tools Needed –
- Spatula
- medium bowl
- Food processor/blender
- wire whisk
Preparation method –
- Grind brown rice in a food processor/blender.
- Heat the water to boiling point.
- Put the rice powder in hot boiling water, stirring constantly with a whisk.
- Reduce the heat to very low and simmer for 10 minutes (keep stirring, or the rice will burn).
- Then stir in enough breast milk/formula milk to get the consistency best for your baby.
Serving suggestions –
Serve hot.
Remarks –
- You can also use white rice, but brown rice is more nutritious.
- Once baby is introduced to fruit, always add a little of his favorite puree.
