Summer beauty care; The 8 do’s and don’ts
The Do’s
The less is always better.
Don’t hate yourself with heavy makeup, even if it’s waterproof or sweat-proof. That kind of chemical on your skin is not necessary. If you’re used to makeup, find a middle ground to keep it to a minimum.
Change your makeup preference.
Dark lips, dark eyes, or something harsh just won’t work in the summer. Bring out the corals, pinks, mauves and raspberries that deliver freshness to your lips and nails with subtle neutral eye makeup.
SPF lotions are a must!
Just don’t leave your house without dabbing some SPF lotion on your face and body. As you know, UV rays are very strong in summer and can damage your skin if you skip them. Choose the SPF strength of the cream, taking into account your skin color and climate.
Dry skin? Exfoliation to the rescue.
This simple exfoliator works for all skin types and is a quick remedy when none of the creams prove their worth. You just need to use a sugar or salt scrub in the shower to gently remove the dead cells. Do this in a circular motion from your feet to your shoulders.
Hydration
You’ll avoid half of summer skin problems if you keep yourself well hydrated. Simple enough to follow? You need a minimum of 8 glasses to continue. Remember that fruits and vegetables are also a source of H20. So, belly up ladies!
The Don’ts
Overboard with moisturizers
While you want to keep your skin soft and supple during the summers, this doesn’t necessarily mean applying a thick layer. Heavy creams can keep your pores from absorbing moisture, leaving your complexion looking dull and oily.
Sunbathe
You may not like this point because that’s what we look forward to most in the summers. But here’s one thing, a little sunlight can brighten up your complexion, but if you overdo it, you’re putting your skin at risk. Normal sun exposure, such as walking your dog, driving a car gives you enough vitamin D.
Forget to exfoliate your feet
Cracked, calloused heels are quite an embarrassment and have no place in the summer. Use a good foot exfoliator or go to your podiatrist to keep it soft and smooth. So show off your slip-on and other flip flops carefree!
Don’t forget to enjoy the season!
Although you may hate it because you are so hard and not cool, in a few months you want it back. So stay healthy and To do Enjoy the summer! Off to the beach, are you?
