Where is Charissa Robinson now? Updating
Investigation Discovery’s ‘The Murder Tapes’ is a series that stays true to its title by investigating harrowing murder cases through raw and unfiltered footage from police cameras, surveillance cameras and news archives, along with interviews with everyone involved. This gives us an inside look at every case, allowing us to perceive all aspects of the human psyche. So, of course, Season 4 Episode 17, aptly named “She Set Me Up,” which profiles the 2018 murder of D’Angelo White, is no different. And now, if you’re curious about the details of the same, we’ve got you covered.
How did D’Angelo White die?
At the age of 28, D’Angelo White of Evansville, Indiana, lost his future and life in one of the worst ways imaginable. On January 1, 2018, at approximately 6 p.m., local authorities were called to a home on Washington Avenue after D’Angelo crashed into the front porch with his car. The homeowners, according to the records, said the collision was so strong it felt like an earthquake and D’Angelo got out almost immediately, screaming as if trying to explain and tell them his name. But before he could reveal anything important, he suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed right in front of their house.
D’Angelo was transported by the professionals to St Vincent’s Hospital, but he died there around 6:40 PM. It has been revealed that he was once shot in the chest while sitting in his sedan on South Bedford Street and attempted to drive himself to a nearby medical facility when he crashed instead. Because of the bullet’s position, blood loss, and the time it took for help to reach him, nothing could be done to save him. So the police began investigating his death as a homicide, especially as forensics confirmed that someone else had pulled the trigger on him.
Who killed D’Angelo White?
Within a month, the Evansville Police Department announced that D’Angelo White was killed for less than $500 worth of marijuana after recovering 68 grams of the same from his vehicle. They had conducted many interviews and had arrested 17-year-old Charissa Robinson, 18-year-old Mykel Blair and 38-year-old Derrick Butts in connection with the crime. Later, they also arrested 20-year-old Noah Coleman and 18-year-old Kyley Vincent. It has been alleged that Charissa confessed to D’Angelo’s murder, claiming that it resulted from a robbery of a drug deal gone wrong by her.
According to an affidavit, Charissa had D’Angelo arrive in Bedford in 1406, after which she got into his vehicle to examine two bags of weed, which she wanted to buy for $25. While they were executing the deal, Mykel, Derrick, and Noah approached them to rob D’Angelo of all his belongings, which led to a gunshot. Kyley had helped them plan this. Additionally, since Charissa stole her grandfather’s gun and gave it to Mykel, he is believed to be the shooter. Because the theft was premeditated, everyone was charged with attempted theft and murder, among other things.
